What is a label?
A label is essentially the action that will take place when a device is on the whitelist or blocklist.
How do i setup a label?
Step | Description |
1 | Navigate to the Device rules page by hovering over the Devices menu item in the left side menu, and clicking Device rules. |
2 | Click Add label located at the top of the page. |
3 | Create a recognisable name associated with the label. |
4 | Select an action from the Action dropdown. There are two actions available, Bypass with Service tier and Blocklist. |
4a | Selecting Bypass with Service Tier ensures the device associated with the label will authenticate using the service tier selected, instead of the service tier associated with the authentication method. Selecting Blocklist will ensure the device cannot authenticate at all. You can also display a message to the device in question, allowing you to communicate with the user whose device has been blocked. |
5 | Select the site you want this whitelist to be associated with. |
6 | Click Save. |
How do i associate a whitelist with a service tier?
Step | Description |
1 | Navigate to the Device rules page by hovering over the Devices menu item in the left side menu, and clicking Device rules. |
2 | Click Add label located at the top of the page. |
3 | Select Bypass with Service tier from the Action dropdown. |
4 | Select the service tier you want your Whitelisted devices to be associated with upon logging in. |
5 | Select the site you want this whitelist to be associated with. |
6 | Click Save. |
How do i bulk import devices to a blocklist or a whitelist?
Import Blocklist
Site | Description |
1 | Navigate to the Blocklist page by clicking on the Blocklist menu item in the left hand menu. Hover over Devices to show the sub-menu items. |
2 | Click Import at the top of the page. |
3 | A modal will appear and you will be presented with three dropdown menus that will map to your .CSV document. Your CSV document must correspond to the three dropdown boxes. (See Import Columns) |
4 | Select the label you want to associate your block list with. (See How do i setup a label.) |
Import Whitelist
Site | Description |
1 | Navigate to the Whitelist page by clicking on the Whitelist menu item in the left hand menu. Hover over Devices to show the sub-menu items. |
2 | Click Import at the top of the page. |
3 | A modal will appear and you will be presented with three dropdown menus that will map to your .CSV document. Your CSV document must correspond to the three dropdown boxes. (See Import Columns) |

Import Columns
Column | Purpose |
MAC | The Mac address of the device you wish to add to the list |
Description | A simple description that will be associated with the device (i.e Problem device/VIP user) |
Browser-less device (0/1) | Whether the device is browser-less or not. (1 = Yes | 0 = No) |
